From one of my favourite places on this Earth, these images try to capture both the great and the small and prove that life really is in the detail.

Some images of Naples, Italy. These were taken on a holiday in August 2001 and I've tried to capture some of the vitality, beauty and quirkiness of this amazing city.

In the summer of 2006 Stu and I made our way through Italy, spending ten glorious days discovering our own path in my favourite country. Starting in Naples, we drove through Pompeii, sojourned in Amalfi, crossed-country to see off-the-beaten-track Venosa, then downwards, ending up in Puglia for a sunny end to the trip. This region (Italy's 'heel') in particular is both chilled in atmosphere, and hot in temperature. To me, the people in Puglia seem as if they're there because they've actually come to Puglia, rather than simply passing through as other places can feel. My images range from dreamy streets and spires to quirky corners and other things I stumbled upon. I hope you enjoy them.
